Dr. Gregory Ellis's Photo Gallery

Following is a Mix of Some Photos

This is a Set I Took After Completing Ultimate Diet Secrets

Other than photos that I took over my life, these are the first so-called professional body-building photos I ever took. I applied all the methods I teach in my book to attain this level of development. It's not easy and takes a lot of work, more work than I'm even willing to do. Today, at age 61, I'm about 20 pounds heavier than in these photos.

But, what's good is that I know exactly what to do to drop those 20, I just need more time in the day. I no longer get any more than 20 pounds away from what I look like in these photos. I can easily maintain that without that much work.

Obesity in the 8th grade. My waist was wider than my shoulders and I was a 5 ft., 5 in., 185-pound tub of lard.

I had fun with the suspenders, doing a little spoofing.

These are Some Photos of My Family and Me Over Several Years

I met my athletic wife in 1981 and converted her into a weight trainer. She actually entered a body-building contest after just 6 months of training. This was in the very first days of women's body-building programs.

Dr. Al Thomas was one of the early pioneers in strength training.

Her picture recently appeared in a book co-authored by my dear friend Dr. Al Thomas, retired english professor and editor of all my books.

I met Al at Muscle Beach in 1970 where he was on sabbatical from teaching English.

Al was a pioneer in strength training having started the athlete's weight training program at Penn State in the late 1950's.

He was also a leading figure in women's body-building and was the author of many articles on strength development.

Al died in April 2008 after surviving a prostate cancer diagnosis since 1994.

I (we) all miss him so much.

During those days at Muscle Beach, Arnold S., now governor of CA, had just come over from Germany and I'd just finished college and I went to Muscle Beach to learn how to "get big." I found out one of keys was steroids, but I didn't react well to them.

This set also includes some photos of my two kids (during younger days) and now, in 2008, they're 24 and almost 18.
